Having Fun with Kids over Easter holidays.
April 3rd 2007 22:59
Easter is a wonderful time and let us not forget the Easter message.
The Easter Bunny is fun, hot cross buns for breakfast and fish on Good Friday is traditional, Easter Eggs on Easter Sunday is the correct time, that's the day to celebrate Christ's resurrection, the Easter Show for many, I prefer not to go on either the Friday or Sunday and Show Bags are every kids dream.
Easter, for many, also means school holidays, and it's no wonder parents become a little jaded while kids seem to have endless energy.
So here a just a few tips that you may forget in coping with those extra holiday tensions.
"Try to get out and walk or run around with them. Fresh air and exercise are great ways to avoid many of the difficult behaviours that children show as a result of boredom and frustration.
There are lots of free activity days in local parks during Easter. Having fun with your kids doesn't have to be expensive.
Going swimming doesn't cost a lot and most kids love it. Visiting a local museum can also be fun and educational.
You don't have to leave home to find fun things to do. They love getting dirty so letting them put on their old clothes and help you in the garden or making something arty with them can be great way to bond and have fun together.
You could also bake with them or even get them to help you make dinner or do some housework.
Often it is simple things like cooking that youngsters get a lot of pleasure from - especially if they feel they are doing well and you praise them for being so good at helping.
Although two weeks might seem like a long time to keep your kids entertained, it will pass much easier if you fill the days with activities that use up their energy and stop them from getting bored easily.
Lots of fresh air and exercise should mean that they are much calmer and better behaved over the holidays so that you can enjoy some quality time with your children"
The above quotes refer to Easter activities and the author of these hints.
I do hope you will find these suggestions helpful. If you have some ideas yourself you may want to share them with us.
