Young minds need to learn too
April 20th 2007 12:08
From the New York Times Janet Elder writes that younger people are more supportive of the war and the president than any other age group.
Forty-eight percent of Americans 18 to 29 years old said the United States did the right thing in Iraq.
By contrast,of those 65 and older twenty eight percent said the United States did the right thing, while 67 percent said the United States should have stayed out.
Well, what is happening with young minds.
Are they right?
Do they do much thinking with their minds? Do they need more neural connections, more motivation or are all those war protesters wrong and the young people are getting it right?
Is it that they do not or cannot think or is it that their thinking just takes a different path?
Who, if anyone, is right about what should have happened and what is happening in Iraq?
I know on Orble there are many bloggers who have very strong opinions on these things. I am yet to be convinced that any of them are right, and that's on both sides of the camp.
So how do young minds think and learn or are they just not capable at that stage of seeing beyond what is of immediate importance to them?
Any views?
