Yes, I am referring to YOU...YOU....YOU....YOU....ad infinitum...all those who sit on the fence and say nothing about the porn appearing.

Family men, shame on you,

But FEMALES? Are none of you so liberated that you are not offended by such views, or should I say pictures.

Is this your idea or ideal of the way WOMEN should be treated, do any of you give serious thought to what being a female is all about or do you just accept male perversion or even some female perversion and sit back and be silent lest you lose your popularity status.

Have you no backbone?

Have you no principles?

This is not about religion.

It is about decency and the perception of females.

Shame on you all for not standing up to be counted.

Gutless wonders! ( very unChristian of me )

And are not Atheists offended by the debasement of women.

Where are you, or are you all fools.

i am not sure what has appeared here to upset you but if it is porn I totally agree with you. As a woman who grew up in the 70's when women fought hard to get some respect it seems we are heading backwards. It is disrespectful to women and the women disrespect themselves by participating in porn.

In the end, the site is gone and the offender has been banned.

This happened rapidly, many have not seen the blog referred to or its nude photos which provided a rather well round lesson(s) in female anatomy ~ inappropriate for Orble; marketed as a family friendly site.

I was checking the Orble home site while my wife chatted with me, she wanted to know why I was searching porn sites; something she knows isn't a norm in my world or our shared world.

Embarrassed, I said it was the Orble home, page she scowled and left me setting alone. Her silence was deafening.

Don't surrender ground women fought hard to acquire ladies; when, silent you're implying consent and will suffer setbacks for women everywhere.

I don't want to see women and girls exploited, here or anywhere; but sadly, it goes on and exploitation must be contended with every time it is encountered.

This skirmish was won, but there will be others. Present a strong front and take your stand, be outraged not only at public display, but also at the pervasive exploitation and denigration of your gender.

Nevar, you used the PERFECT word. Embarrassed is how I felt, too. I don't have as many readers as some of you, but I am responsible for the 1500-3000 readers I get per day. I can't lead them to porn, and my readership won't grow if people pop in and see those pictures.

And, katyzzz, I love your blogs. I didn't even know what paint art was until I found Orble and your blog.

As you are well aware, my views on porn, feminism, etc are never very popular. And we often disagree on things.

Teresa pointed out that you had made a comment to me on some post, and wanted me to respond to it. Yes Teresa does exist. Ask Damo if you don't 'believe me. We went and met the Damo and the Mrs Damo the other night. It was a bigger event than Orble Christmas get-togethers. There were 4 people present.

Anyway, this comment of yours, Teresa wanted me to respond to. It ended with something like 'Don't mistake kindness for stupidity'. I can't comment on comments like that because if I do, whatever I say will be misinterpreted. So you're just going to have to put up with this comment instead.

I sometimes wonder if people create porn blogs anonymously and hope people think it is me. Yes, it's all about me. (God, I'm starting to get as paraoid as Morgan. Orble is all about me. Every post is about me). But seriously, in all honesty, that was just a fleeting thought. It just crossed my mind that certain people would think I'd created that porn site. But IT savvy people can access the URL or ISP addy, or whatever the hell it is, would soon discover who it was. And it certainly wasn't me. I don't know any Asian women who would let me photograph them naked.

So, we get down to the real issue. The real issue is Orble, the family friendly site. (Sounds like a new ad for McDonald's).

And this issue seems to recur over-and-over again. And what is the issue? Is it Orble not policing their site? Or is the issue, certain people should be banned from Orble? Or is it both?

And now we get into those grey areas of the net. Which is why these things recur and cycle. Because the net is a grey area.

And you can post something on the writer's forum on Orble and create the exact thing you're railing against. And this is where we get into shades of grey. Now as someone familiar with colour, you would understand this.

To me, the bottom line is this. The net will never be able to be policed. Saintly Christians would avoid it. They'd knit.

I like Catholicism, but not enough to become a saint. Yet. It's a martydrom of the spirit and the body. I tend to go. If I really wanted to be a Christian, I would not have the net. I would not own a television. And so I can't really complain in a hypocritical manner about anything on the net, when I'm actually on it. So I post the odd Catholic post. Then I'll write something pornographic. Then I'll look at net porn and go, she has a beautiful body. Because I'm not a saintly Catholic. I'm a debauched, non-practising Catholic who just knows everything the Catholic Church teaches and believes, and if I'm going to hell, then I'll at least do something for God before I get there. I'll preach His word like Jimmy Swaggart and go down swinging.

But anyway, on a serious note. To not like porn on a family friendly site? You have every right to take the owners of the site to task about it. But never forget it is the net, and who controls it. Whilst God permits evil to bring out a greater good, He does allow Satan a lot of control over things like the net. I firmly believe He wants to know which souls can give it up for Him and which ones can't. And therein lies the hypocrisy of everyone pretending to be religious on it. (Did you notice my hand raised?).

Hard-core porn, soft porn. It's all porn. Women's tennis is soft porn. All those cameras doing close ups on the women's panties. The world is full of porn. The only way to avoid porn is to get off the net and never watch television, never buy a newspaper, never listen to the media. But who wants to be a saint? Most people want to be internet evangelists, don't they?

I never doubted the existence of Teresa, in fact it was a very long time before I knew it was you, (OK call me slow) and Mr. and Mrs. Smith sound the ideally suited couple, sometimes, ~~David~~ I wonder how much of what you say is sincere and how much is a dig, there are aspects of you I admire and appreciate and thank God you do have a sense of humour, however, there is a lot of you I find very unseemly, nevertheless I did not attribute the porn postings to yourself.

You have induced me to put a long time into reading your comment, uncharacteristic of my good self, I said somewhere else I am fast coming to the view that we'd all be better off without the internet and perhaps a lot of the rest of the media.

Increasing people's intelligence may help but the emotional brain, inherited from reptiles seems to march to the tune of a different drum, an out of tune drum if I may say so, if one could ever regard a drum as in tune, I actually should have said 'beat' which can often be acceptably 'Off beat". I'm not sure that what I have said proves or disproves my theories, much the same as you yourself must ponder from time to time.

Thank you for your long reply about which I am still pondering.

You know I confess (very Catholic of me ) to being the Orble wowser so that should clear all your concerns.

You have kept your language appropriate here, which is appreciated.

As for the porn, it will re-emerge, and is currently present in the glimpse of panties as you so kindly point out and there's even WORSE, which I'm sure must disturb you.

Ban the net. because its contributors often cannot be traced whereas the rest of the media can be.

But my post stands as is, and let's hope I do indeed induce some guilt and then reason in those who stay hidden behind closed doors making no protest nor complaint.

Does this make much sense to you, don't worry it doesn't make much sense to me.

To the other contributors who may feel they are not getting a response but you are getting all of it, I thank them for their contributions, good and bad.

There's always one clown in every circus, and sometimes the clown may even be me.

I'm quite happy with your multiple personas, I think they are very amusing, you definitely have talent but for me it is destroyed by unseemly behaviour from time to time although I must admit you are improving.

Perhaps if your talents were more suitably recognised your needs in other directions may diminish. Don't be so happy to continually shoot yourself in the foot, it can cut across what you'd really like to achieve and it seems to me deserve.

Far too verbose I realize, but brevity has served me well to date, it is less time consuming.

I think moonglow has done a good thing, may the benefits continue, although I fear ultimately they will not.

I wrote a blog about it, as you know, because I just thought it was all a bit much for the homepage. Not the mention the Orble terms & conditions clearly state that pornographic material is not allowed to be posted.

As I said though, I think some of the things people write are just as bad as the images they post.
