"A stuntman dressed as a life-size Dryosaurus (meaning: "oak lizard") surprises passers-by in front of the Australian Museum in Sydney. The three-meter long replica of the herbivorous ornithopod from 150 million years ago was unleashed to promote the museum's new theater show "Gondwana". CNN

THATS COOL!!!
I love it! Ornithopod refers to its limbs and movement. Im not sure EXACTLY what it means but thats what it relates to. As in, we humans are 'anthropormorphic' 5 limbed, star shaped....

Pretty fascinating, isn't it? Poor little kid.

Thanks for info Kleo.

katyzzz.....I've been thinking about your wardrobe, not much sense of dress? I know I haven't.

Oh, no, I do! I think if I was able to buy what I wanted Id be confused, but with a closet full of hand me downs I always manage to look snappy! I first started sketching because I was designing clothes!
If Im at home, I look shocking, because comfort is the key, but lately Ive been going to the beaches to work and Im really proud of the outfits Ive put together.
Now comes the hard part - when I run out of clothes.....

I feel sorry for that little boy, coming face to face with a big creature like that, and thinking it was real, but not knowing like we adults do that these creatures are extinct and wont hurt us - I'd be terrified too!!

My four year old was devastated when I told him the other day that dinosaurs no longer roamed the earth. He asked me, "Where are they all mummy?" I told him they'd died out millions and millions of years ago (the concept of time as daunting as the concept of "peace" is to President Bush...but I digress....). My son actually had tears in his eyes when he learnt the news that there were no more dino's to be seen - I can't imagine his confusion - and joy (or fear...) if he came face to face with the one in this pic. HOw cool.......I wish I lived closer to Sydney....

Sorry, Kleo, you can design mine for me.

Bone lazy when it comes to dress. I do have aspirations.....for the future.

Kerryn,

Great to have your newsy comment and to hear your views and sad as it is to see those tears.

I sometimes think people forget how vulnerable little children are. They get exposed to all sorts of things.

I could see the confusion in this little boy, he just didn't get it. And quite rightly so.
