I am one of those who change diapers for a living and though I wouldn't call myself depressed, its a tough gig. I can FULLY understand the concept of post-natal depression since having a child myself. But thats a whole other kettle of fish!

I read the article about depressing jobs and wrote an article for my professional blog in response. Folks do not realize how caregiviers and service oriented professions are so susceptible to depression. When you work with people for a living with differing experiences, responses, and attitudes, it can be quite challenging.

Working for the elderly ... several employment agencies I've been to trying to get extra casual jobs have pushed the idea of volunteer or low paid social work type roles onto me despite me being unable to drive and WITHOUT TESTING to see if I have any aptitudes in that area?
Disconcertingly wierd?
