Dementia Study Shows Changes in Brain

An OHSU study appearing the medical journal "Neurology" shows that changes in white matter in the brain can indicate a person's risk for developing dementia. The study showed the more the white matter in a brain changed, the more likely that person was to develop cognitive problems. The information may eventually help researchers find treatments for diseases like Alzheimer’s disease.
