The basics of Cut and Paste.
May 21st 2007 20:07
This tells you the how and what of cutting and posting.
Let's start with moving some text. Using your mouse, place the cursor at the beginning of the text. Although everyone at Orble probably knows all of this, beginners often don't.
This function is useful for moving text from one location to another. [It can also be used for copying images and web information].
To move information place the cursor, and if you don't know what the cursor is, ask someone, at the start of the text you want then drag it to the end so the material you wish to use is highlighted.
You can use the toolbar that comes with your software or your right mouse.
Here I look at the mouse, the link looks at other things.
With the mouse click over the material selected and press copy with the right mouse. Then go to the spot where you wish to put this information, and once again with the right mouse click on the paste direction and the text should appear in the right spot for you.
I'm giving you a link here that may be helpful, or it may confuse, depending on your amount of computer development.
You do have to start somewhere though so do give it a go.
And for those 'experts' they may even pick up some simple keyboard skills from this link
I do hope some will find this information helpful.
