Conversation in the Family

I notice I am still getting hits and readers on my previous blog which has not been functional for some time now.

This has prompted me to realise that I still have readers who are interested in this area and as this fits in with my overall objectives I have decided to continue with those posts under my domain, even though they may not have a large following. I think this work is very worth while.

Talking together in the family is important and...."The family should be the most closely knit group to which you belong, and the conversation at home, especially if it includes persons of varied ages and interests, should be interesting and stimulating to every member of the family.

If you are living at home, notice what the family talks about, how many interests you all have in common, and how much each of you knows about the special interests of every other member of the group. What do you all talk about at the table?".....and continues...

Family interactions

Please do not be deterred by the word Christian, this is not a blog about Christianity or any other religion, it is just designed to help people and you'll find a lot of information in the links that can be useful for everyone.

For those who have children the following 10 tips are useful. Once again, if you don't have children don't be deterred, there are links here for all.

Tips for kids

The following links are more general.

You tube and do have a look at the pleasure of finding things out. There's a Nobel Laureate here and it is absolutely fascinating

More of interest

And some more

I hope you will really enjoy and benefit from this post which has been especially designed for my old and still new readers.

Hi katyzzz!

Perhaps you could consider creating a category and move them over to your domain?

I did that from "Slave To Money" into my non-paid "Learning Something Everyday".

Thanks, Jessicca, I think I'll just bide my time and see what happens.

I'm still seeking that 'paid appropriately' status, which may be a 'pipe dream'.

In the meantime, I'm doing what I can to help people and share what I have already collected.

If I want to work for Charity I'll seek one out.

Hi katyzzz,

I like the tips for kids. I'm glad you're going back to this topic. I think I went to your "conversation in the family" blog first. Good to see it back.

Love & stuff

Mrs. M.

Glad you derived some benefit from this topic. It was not my most successful one but I do think it is very important and obviously some are deriving benefit from its theme.

katyzzz...oops, sorry, nearly forgot the love and stuff, obviously not my strongest area. k.

Hi Katyzzz,

The tips for kids link was really interesting, thanks for posting it.

Though I'm not at that stage with my little one yet, it was good to have a read through because I have two nieces who are 9 and whom I'm close to!

The info on initiating conversation was especially interesting, because I find while my nieces used to raise heavy topics themselves they don't so much now they're older.

Ever notice what mammals who live primarily in water have in common? Immerse someone in water and you are encouraging her body to add a layer of fat to insulate it against the cold. If you limit the effect of weight bearing via the buoyancy of water, you cannot expect that body to adapt by adding denser bones.
If you are precluded from weights by some medical limitation, I say swim. Good for lungs etc. But humans are land mammals and that means the full effect of gravity.

Hi, Candice and Mythfitness,

I'm just lucky I picked up these comments, generally only refer to comments on ms. paint art.

Glad you enjoyed the articles, Candice, and good to have your views on water and bone density, Myth. You could have actually left this comment on your own post, where I would be expected to read it and your other visitors to your post could see it. As regards fat, fat contains estrogen which is good for bone density so there may be more flexibility with swimming than you realise. Swimming has never caused me to put on weight. Muscles pull on bone which causes bone mass to build up, isn't that the way it goes?

I do hope this information is helpful to you, it is a little confusing, I know, as I still use my Orble name katyzzz, but that's Orble's system so I can't do much about that.

I appreciate your visits and I do put on info re the family from time to time on mspaintart and try to stay abreast of family issues and heath and fitness on other people's posts. Time is often a problem as it is for a lot of people.

Hi Katyzzz,

I always look out for your comments on family when they come up.

I'm sorry I don't make it to MS Paint very often but out in the sticks where I live there's no such thing as broadband yet so my poor computer takes too long to download the images. Let's hope we move with the times soon

Candice,

Sorry about that, I'll put another post up on family soon, it's just a matter of getting the time and opportunity.

I understand about the images, I actually thought this had landed on an old site, didn't realise it was on mspaint.com.

One does rather lose track of things.

Good luck 'out in the sticks', I don't think we look after our country folk well enough, we might all learn to regret that one day.
