Forgive us Father for we have sinned: we have failed to become tech savvy, whatever that is!

It's almost worth turning Catholic for. The Assumption Grotto parish [and now I ask you, does that sound as if it's computer savvy?] has developed a computer lab designed primarily to teach children but has progressed to teaching adults to become computer savvy.
I guess that means easy as she goes and a little at a time.
But, far from being in the Chapel, Father, with his clerical collar and black vest firmly in place, is in the lab showing the computer illiterate what to do.
I guess they are on the start of their journey to become computer savvy. I am also on the start of mine having leap frogged and bunny hopped to acquire the knowledge, such as it is, that I now have.
I had to chuckle to myself when I noticed the involvement of the Church and one wonders who the next saint will be.
Incidentally the Vatican has its own web site, so it's gone high tech too.
I'm going to take my readers on my journey with me which shall be intermittent and reliably unreliable as I am not going to commit to any particular time frame and who knows how long any of us will continue to blog.
But back to Father John who even has his computer lab open after Sunday masses.
What a marvellous way to recruit new Catholics or bring back the lapsed ones, but I feel quite confident that the primary intention is to teach computer skills.
"The computer instruction he now offers draws on Fr. Bustamante's experience in the business world before he entered seminary. "I was a computer consultant for about eight years, and my specialty was doing internal networks," he said."
"He's very knowledgeable about computers."
He's just what I need but too far away, unfortunately.
Here is Your link to the website for those who want to know a little more.
If you want to know what podcasts are and a few other high tech things use the following link
Have fun and become better informed just as I am trying to do.
That way we will not have to ask for forgieness if we ever forget to press ENTER let alone ESC
