Brain,Computer Challenge and Sound of Music for HORRORPHILES and HORRORPHOBES plus the usual computer art
November 26th 2006 20:49
To-day is just that little bit different. I've attached a Sound of Music video, the first is altered to create horror and fear, the others normal, [you'll need to scroll down a bit and click for the normal one] but so many love that movie. It never fails to inspire me!
Of course, there's a few other things on the page if you should be interested.
I've created a link to a very interesting idea between computers and the brain and it's very up- to-date.
For the rest, I've just given you a selection of recent computer art creations and the usual brain puzzler.
I've got some other great things planned for the week and still search for the best things I can find presented in the most meaningful way.
Andrea has a post up on the importance of breakfast and mentions brain function. It is important; the brain affects everything you say and everything you do, it's worth looking after and encouraging peak performance.

Yes, it is entirely unexpected, isn't it?

I think that the corporate brain would be better served giving workers, whose brains in my experience are no different, fair pay and stand up against Executives receiving big payouts.
Is that too harsh?
On the puzzles, I see the last one as a landscape witha big building and a red sky.
Love that bit on Sound of Music.
I found this a good laugh:

you might too.

I suspect in those executive brains is a part of the brain that is overly developed for greed, and as regards treating their workers they seem to be lacking in brain function which recognises and implements fair play and justice.
The only thing I'd do with those executives and most of them are just paid to sack people and keep their mouths shut is a big tip over the nearest cliff and who would fall for "we have to pay these extortionate wages to attract the right applicants", most of those whom they engage as these corporate thieves have been found lacking elsewhere and still they rush to re-hire, maybe their brains are only programmed for money and self.
The same goes for the movie buffs and the actors.
They say the US population is becoming dumber, well I can believe that.
How can all this be?
Love your comments and I'm glad you had a good laugh, I'll try yours.

Well there are many fine actors out there....waiting on tables....sadly.
There are some startling and amusing survey results from the US somewhere.
Those in power don't want the people to be educated for obvious reasons.

True, true, true and thankyou. I found your video clip quite amusing, the expressions on the faces saying it all.

Firstly ... thank you for the mention. We all need to do everything we can to boost our brain power and, in addition to eating a healthy breakfast, reading your posts can really help with that stimulation.
I liked the explosion of colour today. It's a very happy and carefree pattern and makes me feel good. I also like that roundedness of it, rather than straight lines.

Brain puzzler this time round, when I was looking for 3D images, reminded me of panes of glass in a parallel dimension with bizarro geometry.

I appreciate your views and assistance. You're teaching me, I think you must be an academic, one of the nice ones.
I thought the blokes might relate a bit better to this puzzler.

I really thought the Sound Of Music YouTube was brilliant...really brilliant... I don't watch horror movies per se, but that was cleverly done... even made me jump once! *lol*

...I loved Skew-Whiff... it was just like my day yesterday - very psychic of you...it even sounded like that too.. sort of purple bars and red high flute interruptions... inter-dispersed with moements of deep blue...
Guys and gals reminds me of orble of late... a mix of jagged emotions flying around the inner-orble lately... I hate door to door salesmen...
This explosion of colour reminds me of the cover of a recent Gypsy music CD I bought... the music sounds just like this...

The new Harry Potter, [needs different name] based on your dream re stations or perhaps new Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
I really fell in love with your dream about the stations, it would be fiction of course...there's nothing wrong with making a lot of money, you can do good things with it.
It's all a chancey business, of course.

Ah I was right about that, now tell me , are you close to Scorpio?
And, please tell me what you thought of the horror version of sound of music, I thought it was well done, myself, a bit of a hoot, really, especially for a very tame horror sister like myself.
Thanks for the visits, you know Sagittarians have the best personality of the zodiac, you strike me as a bit of a stay put, not mix much type?
I'm doggedly stubborn about the Scorpio.
Love your "bloody" red sight. Most appropriate and really well done.
Your innocent sister,
katyzzz...I've a Scorpio moon. In my family only my husband missed out on the Scorpio influence.
You're a man of few words I know.

on the contrary I'm Sagitarrian-Carpicorn cusp (20th), but I've never read any Capricorn horrorscopes (lol) ...
The Sound of Music horror trailer was highly entertaining! Who'd have thought the movie (recut) could look and feel like a classic suggestive horror flick! Did you find that yourself, or did someone show it to you?As for Saggi's having the best personalities of the Zodiac, yes, well, "Nayyyyyy!!" to that! (um, that's a "yes" in Centaur-talk) ....
And pray tell, what do you mean by a stay put, not mix much type? As in, I don't socialise much?
My "bloody" red sight?? I'm partially lost, is that a reference to a post or comment of mine on my own blog?
My moon apparently is in Capricorn. And my ascending is Virgo. But I feel I may need to have my natal chart re-done, as my mama only recently informed me that I was actually born two hours earlier than first thought, which stuffs everything up zodiacally.

Found it myself.
Don't socialise much. {meant you, but it's equally true of me}
Bloody red i.e. referring to the colour of your site.
Maybe there's things we don't know about you, e.g. social life, personality etc, I'm only judging ? by what I perceive and perceptions can be none too reliable.
I'm playing games but people don't seem to catch on, however, what I said about your writing was
absolutely serious, as for the s...t I can live with that as daily I have to and a lot more and I had noticed how free of expletives your site was. And I accepted your explanation as to why you had chosen it.
I was actually challenging you to come up with non-expletive words to describe the same thing.
But, sometimes such words do not spring to mind.
Once again, I express my appreciation of your writing skills.
Loved the Centaur nayy meaning yes, that's the way to go.
katyzzz.....to my Sagittarian who strikes me as a Scorpion.

I've never been struck as a Scorpio. Not once in my entire life. I really thought of myself as a thoroughbred Saggi. But hey, tis intriguing ...
I'm a very gregarious creature, so socialising is high on my agenda. I'm a professional DJ, so you can imagine I command a crowd from time to time ... lol
cheers for the props.

point well taken.
Professional D J eh?, guess there is no shortage of money there.
My son's into music, and he's a scorpio. He's into a lot of other things, too.
but that's a long story.
thanks for your return visit and the info. Sagg's really are THE personality sign.

That looks like violet to me!
Indigo is more of a dark bright blue. I'll do you a dsign in it soon.
I understand the disillusionment, you certainly write extremely well and that's high praise from me.
Have you tried writing mysteries and/or horror?
I feel pretty sure you wouldn't want to go into law.
Writing a dark sit com may go over well with TV producers, certainly I don't think much of what is available at present, all pretty much drivel.

I've never really put my hand to prose .... People tell me I should.
I've written a screenplay feature and a couple of shorts .. and I plan to complete another couple of features over summer ....
Thanks once again for your encouragment .. and I look forward to my indigo design ....
Tell me, if you have any idea, why is the colour indigo is associated/adopted/claimed by the lesbian community ...?

I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea, bit of a worry for you 'tho if it's your colour and WHY should I know,
I like guys. You're not a gal are you?
Peace, horror brother, from your horror sister.
When you've launched your sitcom you can take me out to lunch, somewhere VERY expensive, I'll pretend I'm your Aunty or something.
Don't put me in the sitcom will you? Now there's a bit of a worry.
My son in law is a Sagittarian, seems OK, he's been into documentaries, making plus everything else etc been on radio and so on and so forth, but he's French ooh la la, off to a flying start, now in India where I think he's doing other things, entirely unrelated, as long as he's making a living. My daughter is the one who is grounded, but it's hard to tie a Saggs down, don't you think?
