I understand your point but some want to meet together and a lot of people need a building in which to meet and I think one with a lot of atmosphere, a special place, helps the whole process along and is a wonderful gift for the future.
Think of all the wonderful buildings we have. I love visiting churches and seeing photographs.

The Church has not been used for some time and it had been converted internally into a factory.
I guess it's the external appearance and of course the acknowledgement of Asian culture in a previously very British environment to which they object, but it seems wrong to deny a place to worship having accepted them into the country. They show a minister speaking of tolerance and accepting human differences.
The Muslims interviewed seemed very gentle humble people but I guess people are worried about those extreme elements emerging especially after 9/11 and the bombings in London and discoveries of bomb chemicals etc in various places.
