May 29 - The Texas Supreme Court upheld a lower court decision that said the state had overstepped its authority when it removed some 460 children from a polygamist ranch last month.

The ruling should pave the way for the children to be reunited with their parents. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services said in a statement that while it was disappointed, "we understand and respect the court's decision and will take immediate steps to comply."

kul. . . there was little doubt in my mind that the state over reacted katyzzz. They may have to investigate 400 plus situations, but that is what our legal system demands.

Poor kids, they look as if they come out of the dark ages and evil dads, yuk.

Not much of a life by to-day's standards and this from the wowser.

. . . it's the only life that they know, sigh. But it doesn't negate the knee jerk reaction of the state officials, who've compounded their woes and angst katyzzz.

No doubt, but compounded by the evils of polygamy, I think those kids need a life or they are going to end up like their mums, too horrible for words and me the old wowser, but evil as I think society now is I certainly don't like this as an alternative.
