Seducing your blog readership.
August 21st 2007 01:27
Anyone who has a blog wants to increase their readership don't YOU?
If you don't, relegate yourself to the hits - PRONTO!!!!
If you DO, READ on.
Something like, "if music be the food of love, play on"
I guess the best way to seduce more hitters to become readers is with the presentation of your blog and with language that is seductive and a theme that seduces followed by the tantalisingly provocative language of love.
Then there are the rest of us.
I've found some more recommendations, of a more matter of fact nature, that will be helpful.
I failed a couple of them and shall probably continue to do so.
But then again, variety is the spice of life and in this case, nothing to do with cooking, as my taste buds perpetually perceive in the very seductive desert recipes and pictures with which we are confronted daily.
But, back to the points in hand.
First cab off the rank is "grab your reader's attention". Secret hidden in the link.
And so we continue, "keep sentences short and clear" and "break up the text"
HOW? That's hidden in the link.
Keep current, be bold, be accurate, you've got it, secret.........
Converse, stay focused, use keywords.
I've yet to come to grips with that, there's keywords and there's KEYwords and the secret for me remains hidden.
BE CONSISTENT! HO HUM, are we not to have any fun.
But the secrets are in the link and although 90% of this post did not come from there linking at the top seems the most efficient way to go.
Of course, I could ask for your comments, but most are more than anal retentive in this great competitive world of ours, and do not want to give much away.
I think I just broke several of the rules, but starred with one. Which one? No, not which Bank. And it's not the Commonwealth Bank but from where I'm sitting I wish it was.
May your readers expand exponentially and may mine not decline. And that has nothing to do with Latin which I did learn at school. It was not my favourite subject but suddenly my results leapt skywards when we had a teacher who frightened me to death. [Nothing to do with Bryn's Blog]
