Me (and my brain) on trial with lumosity.
October 7th 2007 01:31
First and probably least difficult try, and I just tried the one, and after this it will be just between me and velocity.
First off I scored 87%, but it gets harder. I had difficulty at first knowing just what to do, and staying focussed in the right spot, I now have a two weeks trial and I have seen such images drifting through, both here and elsewhere, I got mine from another site. I daren't have used it from my own, so I was absolutely delighted when I saw it elsewhere.
My initial difficulty was not to lose focus on what I was doing, often it would have been nice to take a look at the background pictures but there was not time to do that and that was not the point of the exercise.
It was great fun, but I could see that, for me, tackling it in very small slices would be best. I'm sure I'll feel more confident next time as I'll know what I am doing.
I don't have to use my credit card to get it, thus putting me at no obligation whatsoever and not having to remember to cancel in time, which arrangements usually leave me cold.
Here is what they have to say about its first challenge which is the one I did. I do hope it comes your way and you have as much fun as I did, once you get used to it and I'm sure the real challenges have yet to come. But, if you think it is boring, just think what it is doing for your mind. I can assure you it really will get a lot trickier.
Birdwatching improves attention and the ability to process visual information. These abilities are important in many everyday activities including driving. The task gets progressively more challenging to accommodate your improvements in visual attention and processing speed.
Do let me know what you think, will you?
