Brain Thoughts and Sports
Signature Tune

Did you know that:

Listening to Mozart improves several brain functions?

Or that blueberries are the brain's dream food?

Or that exercises in coordination are necessary to keep the brain running smoothly?

Did you Know:

There is a Tibetan Buddhist who has written a book on Buddhism, meditation and compassion and how they are connected with quantum mechanics and contemporary neuroscience?

Did you know that someone has tried to
synthesize elements of Eastern philosophy with Nietzsche's thought--

"The Glass Bead Game" is, supposedly, his big achievement. . The story goes like this: Several centuries in the future, there exists this monastic province known as Castalia. There, the elite intellectuals, tested from other schools, go to be scholars, train educators and play the Glass Bead Game, a very vaguely described art form that synthesizes all forms of knowledge. The main character, Joseph Knecht, eventually becomes the Magister Ludi, or Master of the Game......

So what does all of this have to do with sport?........exercises in co-ordination perhaps?

I do hope you like this, it took me a long time.

And as the Tibetans say??????????????

Good Morning Katyzzz

this is my fave for this morning, I enjoy topics like this.

I once read a book by Manly P Hall and it was all about how different music affects us on different levels. Really is interesting stuff.

I used that as a base for an article on using music with horses and was really pleased with the responses I got from readers.

thanks for brightening my day,

Catherine
