Signature Tune

This one is more likely to appeal to the male brain and to the mathematical brain but that does not exclude others from taking an interest. In fact, they are the very ones that should, although none of this is compulsory.

In it's simplest form I can suggest you count the shapes and I'll do that and to those more inclined this way I'll make another couple of suggestions so you can see what you'll come up with.

I'd really like to see Lilla having a go at some of these: her ideas are so original and she always sees more than she was ever intended to see. That does make things rather more interesting.

Now, for the shapes:

How many triangles?

How many pyramids?

How many quadrilaterals?

How many pentagons?

How many with more than 5 sides?

What is the overall shape?

What 3D figure interrupts the line of flow in the bottom right hand corner, just short of the very bottom?

Do you see the figures there going into the page then coming out of the page?

Is the overall figure coming towards you or going away from you?

What is the overall image suggesting to you? Remember, it is your mind and entitled to its own perceptions?

Did you find this interesting, fun, plain damn boring, challenging, juvenile, whatever?

Good on you for having a look, Lara, I'll put one on soon that will be a bit more appealing to females [the majority that is]. I love Maths but I realise not everyone shares my views, but how about a nice mathematician, they can have some surprisingly fetching ways given a little time and sufficient response. While others can be the big bad wolves.

Hi katyzzz, have you gone mad?

My eyes won't focus. I've only had one cup of coffee.

What was the question again? Wow, this'll take up some time.

Raven,

I wrote you a lovely long reply, it disappeared into cyberspace, do have a 'little' go, you don't have to declare your results but it will be good for your brain, already of superior quality, so after your coffee kicks in, do return.

The next one will be easier not so geometric and not so challenging as this one.

Although this one is easy once you get going.

I'm offended, 'gone mad'? I've ALWAYS been made, some of us are gifted enough to be born that way. Runs in the family, you know.

Come to think of it, just where has my family shot off to. I wanted independent children, boy, did I get my wish. It does not pay to call to the fish in the sea.

The memories these puzzles do bring back.

katyzzz,

I think they're popping by here to help me solve your puzzle.

You know what, my kids are very independent too. It started when they were very young. I sent my oldest son off to the store for some breakfast stuff in 1985, he dallied a bit reading comic books, sniggered a little at some toursts and picked up the food and headed promptly for home. He arrived with the groceries last November, with two kids. Shoot, I had forgotten who he was by then.

May I be so bold as to ask what software you use to make your creations? Is it a CAD program of some sort? Just curious.

What a good way of getting out of solving the puzzle.

I did laugh about your son, it was so funny!

I use Paint.Net, a freebie from the web, started with MS Paint, an accessory with microsoft.

Have no inclination to move to anything bigger and better, I just wanted to encourage people more with their computers and to exercise some brain health and encourage neural sprouting.

One thing leads to another and it's a constant challenge to come up with new ideas with limited resources.

At least what I do is unique.

I try to create with as little expenditure of time as possible.

I don't really set out with great intentions, I just DO, and hope I'll find something suitable for the images to go with. If not, the signature tune always represents me so it doesn't matter if I don't get a good "marriage".

It can also take a lot of time finding just what I want so I have to sacrifice due to time restraints.

I don't exactly see this as the way I want to spend my life but it has been a good experimental play.

But I'd like to see at least a modest cash return. My return is so unbelievably immodest I'm not too sure how long I'll continue. I came with modest expectations, but the expectations can't even be described as any where near modest.

But until I decide just what I should do I try to get my stats up, that has been reasonably successful, but one has to wonder, at the end of the day, what for?

Thanks for the return visit, it's always good to see you.

katyzzz...I just love people with a sense of humour. Mine is often sorely tested around here, let me tell you.
