Brain exercise - more on Nintendo DS
July 31st 2007 07:04
Here is a follow up on exercising the brain and the new brain age program currently on sale for use with the Nintendo DS.
Incidentally, if you don't like it you can return it within 7 days [but check with your purchase source] but then you're stuck with your purchases of the Nintendo DS if that is the only reason you bought it.
How about a reduction in brain age from 64 to 32? ERRR, yes, well, maybe, I don't think things work that quickly when it comes to neural sprouting but you may well learn efficiently with what you've got already. These things [when it comes to products] are somewhat debateable.
According to the author of this article, and I shall attach the link, "Dr. Kawashima's book, Train Your Brain: 60 Days to a Better Brain, became an instant hit in Japan, selling millions of copies. "
There's a word scrambler and a simple piano-based recital challenge and the obligatory Sudoku puzzles.
In Germ Buster, a warm-down Tetris styled game, the touch screen is full of different-coloured germs you must eradicate.
Then there are more every-day tasks such as coin counting where the customer throws at you not just 10c 20c 50c and $1 coins, but you must give change down to the last cent!
Just think of a few modern conveniences from recent decades... I bet they are all lost chances to use your prefrontal cortex!".
I think for the rest of the article and to fill in the gaps and credit the author with the words I shall have to refer you now to the Brain Link
This game is not just for older people, the young can do with a bit of a boost with brain exercise as well.
Let me know what you think.
