This is an application, Louie, experimental but backed up by Science, but certainly there are grave concerns because in many cases the effects can be temporary, sometimes harmful, and often, at best, temporary and VERY expensive.

There are various forms of stem cell research, hence your confusion, use of stem cells from embryos can be banned, but there are other kinds of stem cells, even those harvested from your own body, often a great number are required.

Some practices have been hailed as revolutionary, only to be banned later because of adverse effects, lets hope this little girls improved vision is here to stay, without harm.
