Well, guys, it looks like it's gonna be Dell with Vista - convince me otherwise.

Thanks for all the great replies I got on my previous post on what was suggested for a cheap laptop and for using Wifi.
I've done more of my own work and much as I am hesitant to take on Vista, it seems to be the way to go. Of course, had I chosen a smaller mini laptop I could have saved myself $200 and had a Windows XP and one uni student absolutely swears by his. But to me it looked a bit limited.
I did my homework with Telstra (not previously a favourite with me ) but they made a great deal with me for my wifi, so I have now had to revise my opinion.
But before the purchase of the 'done deal' I would like some input from others, making the assumption that if I get no replies they will, in fact, have nothing to offer.
So, I call on you, at the eleventh hour to agree or disagree, by which I may expect to gain some benefit.
I'd really appreciate your views.

I found a comparison on the web between the two companies and their products, and despite criticism of both, Del came out on top, just google to get it.
