Protests were staged as George Bush visited Downing Street and Windsor on day one of his trip to the UK.

The US president is in London with his wife Laura as part of his 'farewell' tour of Europe. James Robbins reports.

I always admired Americans (et Alaskans) for showing great unity and respect for their president, that seems to have broken down, and I think many behave in a less than dignified fashion, who act superiorly, let us see how they would do in his position, but of course they will never hold such an esteemed office, so they should go back to being gracious and dignified.

The Bush jokes are usually too juvenile for words.
