Brain stuff
Signature Tune

Brain stuff
Suspended in space?

This is what the second one suggests to me.

What does it suggest to you?

And how does the signature tune compare with it,

Keep looking

keep learning

keep interpreting

And keep those neural connections sprouting and renewing

doing the same old thing all the time just makes some well known pathways, leaving the rest of yout brain to decay

Think about it

Use your mind

Use your brain

And play the game.

Eat This Steak for Your Heart

heart salmon not steak
Signature Tune

Thinking of grilling a rib eye? Instead, try substituting a salmon steak.

Research shows that getting the omega-3s found in a 6-ounce serving of fatty fish like salmon could reduce the risk of heart failure by as much as 33 percent!

Heart Helper
Hearts naturally lose some blood-pumping ability as a normal part of aging. But with heart failure, the decrease is made more severe -- usually due to another health condition. Yet there’s plenty you can do to keep your body healthy and avoid a weak heart. In a large study, men who ate fatty fish such as salmon or herring once a week had the lowest rates of heart failure. Regular exercise and a generally healthy diet are also good choices for your heart.

The Good Fat

Researchers think that the omega-3 fatty acids in fish are what help the heart by improving triglycerides, blood pressure, and heart rate. And it may not take much fish to get the effect. In fact, in the recent study, eating more than one serving of fish per week didn’t seem to provide additional benefits. And if you’re worried about mercury levels, read this list of the top five omega-3-rich, low-mercury fish.

Salmon (wild): 1 gram of omega-3 fatty acids per 2 ounces of fish;* 0.014 parts per million mercury concentration
Herring: 1 gram of omega-3 fatty acids per 1 ounce of fish;* 0.044 parts per million mercury concentration
Sardines: 1 gram of omega-3 fatty acids per 2-3 ounces of fish;* 0.016 parts per million mercury concentration
Trout (freshwater): 1 gram of omega-3 fatty acids per 3-4 ounces of fish;* 0.072 parts per million mercury concentration
Pollock: 1 gram of omega-3 fatty acids per 6.5 ounces of fish;* 0.041 parts per million mercury concentration
